Course summary
Information Security Management System is important for managing an organization's information security. Knowledge of ISMS is critical in today's work culture to build a more responsible workforce who will contribute rightly for the shared responsibility of information security. This course on 'ISMS' provides an understanding on Information Security Management System, its importance for business and the ISMS policies to be followed in the organizations.
Learning outcome
By the end of the course, learner will be able to become aware of the various policies pertaining to information security in the organization. Policies encompass workstation security policy, email policy, baiting and malicious software detection and prevention.
Learner will be able to construct, manage and protect the system password. Learner will have a better understanding of the user access management policy, physical access security policy, laptop security policy and backup and recovery policy
Modules
The course gives a clear understanding of workstation security policy, usage of official e-mail ID, baiting, physical access security policy and consequences of clicking malicious links/software's and it impact on business.
The course deals with password construction policy, user management access policy, password management and protection policy, software installation policy and spear phishing.
The course provides insight about laptop security policy, pretexting, handling spam and phishing e-mails, backup and recovery policy and usage of IT resources.
